Clay pot
Our pots: where craft, earth and quality cooking meet. Our pots are carefully handmade, with an emphasis on quality materials, high durability and a unique cooking and baking experience. Each pot is one of a kind, combining the ancient tradition of clay pots with modern, practical design for the home kitchen. The material: durable, natural ceramics Quality heat-resistant clay: the pots are made from a clay blend specially suited to temperature changes, resistant to high oven heat and long baking and cooking. Food-safe glaze: all pieces are coated with quality glazes, free of lead and toxic substances, approved for food contact. The benefits of cooking and baking in a clay pot 1. Even heat distribution and heat retention: clay stores heat and spreads it gradually and evenly throughout the pot. Food keeps cooking gently and stays hot long after it comes out of the oven. 2. Moisture and juiciness: the pot and its matching lid trap steam inside. The food's natural juices don't evaporate, giving you melt-in-your-mouth meat, rich-tasting stews and bread with a crisp crust and soft crumb. 3. Deeper flavor: slow cooking in a ceramic pot lets all the spices and ingredients blend perfectly, creating a depth of flavor that's hard to achieve in an ordinary metal pot. 4. Straight from the oven to the table: the pots have a warm, elegant look, so you can serve straight from them at the center of the table – a beautiful addition to any gathering. Sizes and custom orders (Custom Made) We offer pots in a range of standard sizes and shapes (for sourdough bread, family stews or individual portions). You can order a custom-sized pot! Need a pot with a special volume, deeper, wider or one that fits your oven or taboon exactly? Contact us and we'll be happy to design and fire a pot to order for you. Care and use for a long life To keep your pot serving you lovingly for years, please follow these guidelines: Avoid thermal shock (extreme temperature changes): * Don't put a cold pot (for example, straight from the fridge) into a hot oven. * When taking a hot pot out of the oven, place it on a wooden surface, cutting board or towel – not on cold marble or stainless steel. Oven and baking: the pots are designed for use in an oven or taboon. Do not use the pot over an open flame on the stovetop. Cleaning and maintenance * Hand wash in hot water with dish soap and a soft sponge. * Avoid steel wool and harsh abrasive cleaners. * Make sure the pot and lid are completely dry before storing them in a cupboard.
